Run through their companies, Maximum Effort and B for Effort, GEI strives to create a pipeline for members of underrepresented communities to get real experience towards lasting careers within the entertainment industry.

Group Effort Initiative (GEI) is looking for production assistant candidates based in Montreal for an upcoming film production (as well as other potential international productions in the future) to apply today!
GEI strives to create a pipeline for members of underrepresented communities to get real experience toward lasting careers within the entertainment industry. GEI offers early career entertainment job opportunities, internships, mentorships, and education that focuses on professional development, soft skills, and entertainment-specific training.
Please note: GEI submits candidates for job consideration at various companies, but cannot guarantee placements as hiring decisions are up to the company's discretion.
Candidates must meet the criteria below to be considered for our program and production assistant candidacy:

Must be 18 years or older

Have full-time availability for the duration of the production, dates TBD!

Must belong to an underrepresented community (i.e. women, people of color, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, foster homeless individuals, former foster youth, etc.)

Must have work authorization

Live Locally to the Montreal area

Driver's license and vehicle are preferred but not required!

COVID-19 vaccination with a booster is recommended

Possess a strong, detailed, and polished resume
The role will be full-time for the duration of the production.
