For 19 years, 80-year-old diver Terry shared an extraordinary bond with Willy, a 22-foot Giant Pacific Manta Ray. Each day, Willy would nudge Terry’s boat, inviting him to dive and explore the ocean together. Now, near the end of his life, Terry sets out on one final journey to a remote island, hoping to find Willy and say goodbye. In the spirit of Grizzly Man and My Octopus Teacher, The Last Dive is a moving documentary about friendship, redemption, and the remarkable intelligence of manta rays.
